When you look at SeAndrea, you see a confident and engaging school teacher. What you can’t see is a long and difficult journey to manage a rare autoimmune disease. SeAndrea started experiencing symptoms of generalized myasthenia gravis (MG) as a teenager, including droopy eyelids and difficulty swallowing.
Years later, she has found a strong support system that ensures she can have a rewarding career as a teacher. Even though she can still show symptoms of myasthenia gravis in her classroom, there is always a plan in motion to support her.
Hear from SeAndrea as she details how her community makes life with MG work for her.
