Filip Borgions
Chief Technology Innovation Officer
Filip Borgions serves as Chief Technology Innovation Officer at argenx, which he joined in 2015. In his role, Filip oversees all process, formulation, and device development activities as well as clinical and commercial manufacturing operations and supply. He previously led our Technical Operations team, where he played a pivotal role in the path to approval and launch of multiple innovations that have proven to be business-critical, including the VYVGART® and VYVGART® Hytrulo products as well as our pre-filled syringe (PFS) for self-injection.
Prior to joining argenx, Filip worked in roles of increasing responsibility within CMC at Thrombogenics, where he played a crucial role in the global development and commercial launch of Jetrea. He started his industry career at Schering-Plough, currently MSD, in the global CMC and regulatory team. He holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from the Rega Institute at University of Leuven and a Pharmacy degree and a Postgraduate in Business Economics, also from University of Leuven.
