Generalized Myasthenia Gravis (gMG)
Our Grants program funds independent medical education initiatives that raise the standard of care for people living with diseases that have been underserved. Progress in this field rarely comes from one place, so we invest in the people and institutions doing the work alongside us.
In keeping with our core focus: “We live to innovate—and do so at every step,” argenx is committed to supporting innovative, high-quality, objective, scientifically accurate, and fair-balanced independent medical education (IME) initiatives through unrestricted educational grants. We support continuing professional development (CPD) of healthcare professionals (HCPs) to develop knowledge and skills that will drive improvements in patient care.
IME is education for HCPs provided by an independent educational provider to close knowledge, competence, performance, and quality gaps among HCPs, helping to improve patient health and outcomes.
Eligible grant applicants may include, but are not limited to, academic institutions, medical universities, community health centers, hospitals, medical societies, professional associations, quality organizations, and medical education companies. We accept grant applications in response to our publicly posted request for proposals (RFPs) as well as unsolicited grant applications based on our areas of interest. We support both accredited/certified continuing medical education (CME) and unaccredited/non-certified IME initiatives.

Grant applications undergo a formal review process, where proposals are evaluated based on educational need, design, scientific rigor, and compliance with both industry and argenx regulations.
All submitted grant proposals are reviewed regardless of whether they were submitted in response to an RFP. However, argenx clinical interests will be prioritized. The approval of a grant application is competitive in nature and the final decision is made by the argenx grant review committee.
argenx will have no influence over the educational content, design, format, learning objectives, faculty, or assessment of educational effectiveness of IME grants. Grants cannot include any tangible benefits to argenx beyond an acknowledgement (e.g., “Supported by an independent educational grant from argenx.”).
All IME grants must comply with and adhere to the Standards for Integrity and Independence of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the principles established by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) Compliance Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers, and Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) Code on Interactions with Medical Professionals.
All requests for grant funding must be submitted at least 60 days in advance of the activity start date.
Any change of scope must be submitted at least 30 days in advance of the activity start date and must be approved by argenx prior to the activity start date.
Preference will be given to activities that achieve Moore‘s level 3 outcomes or higher.
